The resulting album lacks the careful fusion of pop and prog elements that characterized Ambrosia, with songs tending to fall into either progressive or soft rock categories. Just the same, it is a strong album with a number of sonically arresting moments. The finest songs are the most overtly progressive, the most dazzling being "Danse With Me, George," a tribute to Chopin that leads the listener through a bewildering array of styles (classical, jazz, and pop, to name just a few) in just under eight minutes.

Somewhere I've Never Travelled. Somewhere I've Never Travelled. I am a big fan of Ambrosia's self titled album, which I have held in esteem for nearly thirty years. I may try to listen to "Somehere I've Never Travelled" one or two more times in the future but it doesn't hold a candle to their first. 4 people found this helpful.

the 3rd album took a turn for the worse as the group embraced commercialism and even incorporated discoish tunes in their repertoire. Ultimately killed them. A real shame because the talent was there, just misguided. He bought me the album, (yes, I'm a child of the 60s and grew.
He also mixed the debut album by the American band Ambrosia and produced their second album Somewhere I've Never Travelled In 1975, he declined Pink Floyd's invitation to work on the follow-up for Dark Side, Wish You Were Here, and instead initiated the Alan Parsons Project with producer, songwriter, and occasional singer Eric Woolfson, whom he had met at Abbey Road.
