They were dubbed animals because of their wild stage act and the name stuck. The Animals’ moderate success in their hometown and a connection with Yardbirds manager Giorgio Gomelsky motivated them to move to London in 1964, in time to be grouped with the British Invasion. They performed fiery versions of the staple rhythm and blues repertoire (Jimmy Reed, John Lee Hooker, Nina Simone, etc).
This is the out of print Hybrid Super Audio CD of The Animals' Retrospective. It is used but in excellent condition, very light wear on the case. The disc is pristine.
A retrospective (from Latin retrospectare, "look back"), generally, is a look back at events that took place, or works that were produced, in the past. As a noun, retrospective has specific meanings in medicine, software development, popular culture and the arts. It is applied as an adjective, synonymous with the term retroactive, to laws, standards, and awards. A medical retrospective is an examination of a patient's medical history and lifestyle.
