The Honourable Susan Frances Harmar Nicholls (born 23 November 1943 in Walsall, Staffordshire) is an English actress, most known today for her long-running role as Audrey Roberts on Coronation Street. Educated at the School of S. Mary and S. Anne (now known as Abbots Bromley School for Girls), and a graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, she first became known as Marilyn Gates on the soap Crossroads, a role she played from 1964 to 1968.
A song she first sang on the programme, "Where Will You Be?", charted on 3 July 1968, eventually reaching number 17 in the UK Singles Chart. Nicholls, Sue Filmography.

She is an actress, known for Coronation Street (1960), The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin (1976) and Up the Elephant and Round the Castle (1983). She has been married to Mark Eden since July 6, 1993. Other Works: Performed the Jackie Trent and Tony Hatch-composed "Where Will You Be" on 7" Pye Records single. It was heavily promoted in ATV's "Crossroads" and the B-side was "Every Day"; the release reached number 17 in the UK charts and remained in the top 75 for eight weeks.
Nicholls first became known as Marilyn Gates on Crossroads, a role she played from 1964-68 Nicholls' second single was less successful and she embarked on a career in a cabaret, performing her solo act all over the country.
