I'm Your Man" is a song by British pop duo Wham!, released in 1985 on Epic Records in the UK and most of the world, and Columbia Records in the US. It was written and produced by George Michael. I'm Your Man" became Wham!'s third number one on the UK Singles Chart, but did not feature on a studio album, and was essentially an isolated single which was only followed up by a re-issue of the previous year's Christmas hit, "Last Christmas"

Who the hell came up with this? Record Label exec 1: I know, lets get someone to do a house cover version of 'Im Your Man' by George Michael! Record Label exec 2: Yes, good idea, but what can we do to spice it up a bit, we need a hook Record Label exec 1: I know, lets get a woman to sing it! Record Label exec 2: Brilliant!, ill get right on it. Idiocy of the highest degree.

Sorry for only seeing this a whopping 13 years after you wrote it, but I know, right?!? I thought the exact same thing when this came out. Actually the Todd Terry remix was actually a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine back when it came out cause it was pretty good pop house, but overall yes a ridiculous concept.Adding to the bizarreness is George Michael agreeing to add his vocals to this. Guessing he was pressured into doing it considering that a year later he puts out I'm Your Man '96 which is essentially the exact same mix as the 7" version here, but without any Lisa...pretty much how it should have been in the first place! It's like he said "ok that was a dumb idea but the music production itself was good...so I'm gonna finish the vocal re-recording, replace Lisa's vocals with mine, and back Fastlove with it to correct this dumb error once and for all!!"
