Just A Little While To Stay Here. Firecracker Jazz Band. Chris Barber (born 17th April 1930) is an English jazz trombonist. Barber was born in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, England, and educated at St Paul's School in London. He is best known as a trombonist playing in the trad style with his Dixieland jazz band. In 1953-1954 he was in a band called Ken Colyer's Jazzmen with Ken Colyer, Lonnie Donegan,, Jim Bray, Ron Bowden and Monty Sunshine.

Crane river jazz band: dauphin st. blues. Papa Bue's VJB w/ George Lewis 1959 The Old Spinning Wheel. Stephen Foster's 'My Old Kentucky Home' played by The Shotgun Jazz Band. Another wonderful old track from the 1950's jazz scene in London. The track and contemporary photographs of the band were sent to me (once again) by John Westwood -who played drums on this track. Julian Davies; bss. and John Westwood; dm. he recording suffers a little from copying and e-mailing, BUT this is a real 'must have' for the archives of anyone (like myself !) who gets all dewey-eyed thinking of the . jazz scene in the 50's and 60's. My Old Kentucky Home -Crane River Jazz Band.
