Albert Leornes Greene (born April 13, 1946), often known as The Reverend Al Green, is an American singer, songwriter and record producer, best known for recording a series of soul hit singles in the early 1970s, including "Take Me to the River", "Tired of Being Alone", "I'm Still in Love with You", "Love and Happiness", and his signature song, "Let's Stay Together".

Green Day – The Early Years. Why AC/DC, Sabbath and Ramones are referenced on Green Day’s Dookie artwork. Where Green Day tunes had previously been either too smutty or too steeped in distortion to be shortlisted by ad agencies, now the band found their new single being played everywhere from TV shows to baseball games. Good Riddance not only soundtracked the death of a cancer patient in ER ( I heard it was going to be on, recalled Armstrong, but I kinda purposefully didn’t watch it ) but also appeared on a series highlights episode of Seinfeld when it ended in 1998  .

Revolution Radio is Green Day‘s first album in 15 years with no extra twist – no high concept, no triple LP – but it’s full of fiery politics and big emotions. It was refreshing that it came so naturally to write a song like ‘Bang Bang,' he says, which is one of the best punk songs I’ve ever scribbled. And it just sort of happened. I didn’t think about it too much. I showed it to the guys. Billie Joe Armstrong discusses how Green Day’s new album ‘Revolution Radio’ came together. Nimrod (stylized as nimrod. is the fifth studio album by American rock band Green Day, released on October 14, 1997 by Reprise Records. The band began work on the album in the wake of the cancellation of a European tour after the release of their previous album, Insomniac. Recorded at Conway Recording Studios in Los Angeles, the album was written with the intent of creating a set of standalone songs as opposed to a cohesive album

But that story helps to explain the unique series of balances, between showmanship and disaffection, dogmatic punk ideals and romantic stadium dreams, sweetness and scatology, partying and pain, that have turned Dookie into one of the greatest teenage wasteland albums of any generation. In 2015, Green Day played their first show at Gilman in 22 years. Whichever Maximumrocknroll readers were mad at Green Day for trying to make it out of their working-class suburban beginnings probably have more adult worries today (the zine, however, hasn’t forgotten). Immature but crafty, punk but pop, American pretending to be English pretending to be, well, whatever, Dookie-era Green Day were, for a time, in a class alone. Call them pathetic, call them what you will.

A Green Dayis a day spent smoking pot, many people do not know this but the name of the band also came from sesame street, in one episode Oscar the Grouch says "Im having a green day", meant to mean blue, or sad Day, Oscar used to be on the back of original copies of Dookie, but was removed when Green Day was. threatened to be sued by Sesame Street.

Seven years ago, a student came to me and asked me to invest in his company. He said, "I'm working with three friends, and we're going to try to disrupt an industry by selling stuff online. And I said, "OK, you guys spent the whole summer on this, right?" "No, we all took internships just in case it doesn't work ou. "All right, but you're going to go in full time once you graduate. We've all lined up backup jobs  . She goes into a bunch of companies. She has people fill out surveys about how often they procrastinate. Then she gets their bosses to rate how creative and innovative they are. And sure enough, the precrastinators like me, who rush in and do everything early are rated as less creative than people who procrastinate moderately.

By a mile best green day album hands down. I think most people haven't even heard this album. If they had, it would be much higher on the list. 9 Tré! Definitely the best of the trilogy. I do think it should get at least above Warning, so vote guys! Don't understand why people think this is the worst of the trilogy, I honestly think it's the best. Technically their first full feature album. It's already on this list - Gruunge. This is pretty underrated. just listen to going to pasalacqua and youll see.
