KC and the Sunshine Band (album). KC and the Sunshine Band is the second studio album by KC and the Sunshine Band. The record was produced by Harry Wayne Casey and Richard Finch and was released in July 1975 on the TK label. KC and the Sunshine Band contains two of the group's biggest hits, "That's the Way (I Like It)" and "Get Down Tonight". Both songs reached no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and the R&B Singles Chart.

From 1974-1979, KC & the Sunshine Band were one of the most popular R&B/pop acts and writers of the era. The Best of KC & the Sunshine Band covers the high points of the band's production team of Harry Wayne ". Casey and quirky bassist Richard Finch. The earliest tracks, "Queen of Clubs" and "Sound Your Funky Horn," are good but not great glossy, heavily produced R&B. The list of hits here is impressive whether looking from a straight-up R&B standpoint or early R&B-based disco. Tracks from the band's best album, Part 3, rightfully get a lot of slots here. Essential offerings like "I'm Your Boogie Man," "Wrap Your Arms Around Me," "I Like to Do It," and "(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty" display the band as a tireless polyrhythmic machine. The brilliant "Keep It Comin' Love" arguably bests them all. Нравится слушателям: Huey Lewis & The News, Hot Chocolate, The Beach Boys. The Best Of KC And The Sunshine Band. Kc & The Sunshine Band. KC & The Sunshine Band created some infectious grooves, proving that there’s a world of difference between funky soul, and the so called commercial nonsense that was all too front and center during those days. Listen, people burned themselves out in the 60’s, both with heavy drugs and protests, actions that didn’t save the world. Then there was the overly laid back wasted early 70’s, where artists could care less if you were in the audience, full of themselves, playing with their backs to the crowd, and so ragged looking that many artists appeared to be little more than street people.

KC and the Sunshine Band, led by Harry Wayne Casey, brought a bit of male bravado to the predominantly diva-led disco scene. KC and company incorporated a Caribbean feel to their music, with swelling-and staccato-horn parts and multilayered vocals. The repetition of the choruses of "Shake Your Booty" and "That's the Way (I Like It)" had every gold-chain wearing male on the dance floor singing along  . I was just looking for a good compilation of KC and The Sunshine Band's greatest hits. I am not a music critic nor a music historian.
