Mono - Walking Cloud And Deep Red Sky, Flag Fluttered And The Sun Shined download mp3 album

Mono disenthralls another fine album. What is it? Your typical y-fag-shit as most put it, and I could not agree more. But is that a bad thing? Not at all! The compositions in this near 60 minutes of music is excellent. Not one moment was I bored or disappointed or expecting more. What grabs me is the beautiful strings. They're all so well done, wrapped up tight with some subtle (and not so subtle) drums to back it all up. Now, perhaps, that description sounds boring, but it is very vague when describing this album
Walking Cloud and Deep Red Sky is a familiar picture of someone you once knew, with a vibrant transcendence that you don't recall. Rather than mourn our inevitable deaths, we are reminded to celebrate the life that draws us closer. Lengthy tracks like album opener "1. 2", the evocative "Lost Snow" and the gorgeously arranged and inspirationally touching "Halcyon (Beautiful Days)" rise gracefully from gentle passages of soft elegance carrying distant echoes of forgotten hopes, carefully and slowly building to overpowering explosions of deafening, cascading sound of a most beautiful yearning, falling just as gently and patiently as its ascension.

Tokyo's Mono have matured in a most compelling way. They began shamelessly wearing their influences on their collective sleeve, pushing a heavy brand of distorted guitar scree into the stratosphere of sheer punishing noise
Walking Clouds takes the listener through a range of highs and lows by its flawless mixing of sparse and quiet with deeply layered and loud soundscapes. Throw in the obligatory ambient noise and this is the definitive soundtrack for the Sadako story. I think this band has been reading Treble and copped the book soundtrack idea for their own use, and good for them. I’ll be listening to Mono while the rest of the world burns. From 2004 to 2007, Mono signed to Temporary Residence Limited, released two more studio albums, Walking Cloud and Deep Red Sky, Flag Fluttered and the Sun Shined (2004) and You Are There (2006), and toured worldwide in their support. In 2008, the band took a break, returning one year later with a new studio album, Hymn to the Immortal Wind (2009), also on Temporary Residence Limited. One Step More and You Die: 2002–2003. After the release of Under the Pipal Tree, the band spent the next year touring Japan and the United States, also visiting Germany and Taiwan in support of the album, as well as composing new material inspired by the tour. In June 2002, between shows in Japan, the band recorded their second studio album, One Step More and You Die at Little Bach and Sound City studios in Tokyo, with Mono again handling production duties.
