I tried to duplicate those on the historic 1959 recording (digitally remastered on CD in 1997) by the Boston Pops Orchestra, Earl Wild, pianist, Arthur Fiedler, conductor. I’ve always considered it as the definitive recording, I guess because that recording was the first time I ever heard Rhapsody in Blue. All the others I’ve heard since then just haven’t seemed quite right. Another modification from the PDF document is a section that is repeated.
Concerto in F is a composition by George Gershwin for solo piano and orchestra which is closer in form to a traditional concerto than the earlier jazz-influenced Rhapsody in Blue. It was written in 1925 on a commission from the conductor and director Walter Damrosch. It is just over half an hour long
