Judy Holliday was a beloved Hollywood and Broadway actress who came to fame portraying the epitome of the 'dumb blonde' in the classic movie 'Born Yesterday'. This new collection from Jasmine contains her two famous recordings "Trouble Is A Man" and "Bells Are Ringing" which was the official soundtrack album from her hit movie based on the original Broadway musical. Such was the popularity of 'Bells Are Ringing', numbers such as "Just In Time" which also features Dean Martin and "The Party's Over" went on to become pop.

Singing actress Judy Holliday (b. New York City, June 21, 1921; d. Nonetheless she won an Oscar® and a Golden Globe® for her first hit film, Born Yesterday, and received three more Golden Globe® nominations and two Tony Awards®. Judith Tuvim (as she was named at birth) had an early start in show business.

Holliday's performance in the film garnered her critical acclaim and convinced Cohn of her comedic abilities. Larry Oliver and Frank Otto also reprised their Broadway roles Censorship. The film was nominated for five Academy Awards, with Judy Holliday winning the Academy Award for Best Actress. The other nominations were for Best Costume Design - Black-and-White, Best Director, Best Picture and Best Writing - Screenplay.

The Party’s Over, Judy Holliday (Bells Are Ringing Original Broadway Recording) A legendary Holliday cut written by Comden and Green, the song is a tearjerker. She starred in the Broadway musical and later the movie, and not only did this song become a huge hit, but it really connects to our play - you get to experience the story of her life, says Burns. She was diagnosed with breast cancer and became ill and it makes the lyrics really poignant: ‘The party’s over, it’s time to call it a da.
