Billy Joe Thomas (born August 7, 1942) is an American singer. He is particularly known for his hit songs of the 1960s and 1970s, which appeared on the pop, country, and Christian music charts. His best-known recordings are the Burt Bacharach and Hal David song "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" and the original version of the Mark James song "Hooked on a Feeling".

Mama, The Best of BJ Thomas: Live. 17. As Long As We Got Each Other, Young Hearts. Sings for Lovers and Losers. Country, Pop, Rock, Soft Rock.

Some Love Songs Never Die. 1982. Christmas Is Coming Home.

Thomas' 1976 album Home Where I Belong, his 1978 record Happy Man doesn't disguise its contemporary Christian orientation in either its sound or subject. A bigger, brighter sound - a shift that's very evident on the punchy rhythms and sparkling sitars of "Beautiful Music," which plays like a scrubbed-up "Hooked on a Feeling" - is married to songs that are on the nose (. "He's the Hand on My Shoulder" and "I Want to Be More Like Jesus"), along. with tempos that are a shade too stately.

Newsom's first album since her star-turn in Paul Thomas Anderson's Inherent Vice scales back some of the wide-ranging orchestrations of her last album, 2010's three-disc opus Have One On Me; this time, she tackles big themes like history, mortality, memory, love, time and World War IV over some of the homiest folk-rock melodies she's ever. Too proper for the black kids, too black for the Mexicans," he sings of his heritage in "What's Normal Anyway?" "I look around and I feel alon. want to feel like I belong. But on his debut album, Stapleton digs deeper and gets personal, leading a master class in old-school country songcraft with 14 songs full of weary life lessons and whiskey-induced heartbreak. It's old-school country mixed with Southern rock, delivered in a voice like a soul singer's and with no flashy production.

His best-known recordings are the Burt Bacharach and Hal David song "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" and the original version of the Mark James song "Hooked on a Feeling". In 1975, Thomas released the album Reunion on ABC Records, which had absorbed the Paramount label; it contained "(Hey Won't You Play) Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song" (the longest titled No. 1 hit ever on the Hot 100)  . The Very Best of . Bring Back the Time" b/w "I Don't Have A Mind of My Own" (from Tomorrow Never Comes).
