Just because Royalty's album didn't live up to the hype doesn't mean that the songs on "Rich and Famous" are bad. The lead single, "Romeo," is an excellent love song written by the Lewis brothers of Atlantic Starr for adolescents in love. Unfortunately, this song never charted. I Don't Wanna Dance Alone," written by Diane Warren, is an uptempo shuffler about a young girl who doesn't want to waste her time as a wall flower at a school dance as she urges any one of the boys sitting on the side to be her partner for the evening. Six out of 10 tracks is not bad for a debut album, but unfortunately the group did not have another album to follow "Rich and Famous. Royalty recorded an additional track ("Baby Gonna Shake") for the soundtrack to the 1989 film, "Earth Girls Are Easy. 3 people found this helpful.
