Hearts In Armor (Album Version). As Ms Yearwood's sophmore offering, HEARTS IN ARMOR holds up as a fine collection of songs exquisitely interpreted. Published on December 13, 2011.

Lyrics to "Hearts In Armor" song by Trisha Yearwood: One more day My heart's in armor Though I meant to let you in In an effort not to harm it I have. One more day My heart's in armor Though I meant to let you in In an effort not to harm it I have missed my chance again. I was singing when I freed you But my pride was just a veil I pretended not to need you Now my heart tells a different tale. And every hour that goes by The harder I become Because I let that well run dry Because I left you unanswered. Then like a fool I kept my secret When it made no sense to try Now I can no longer keep it For it's late and the moon is high.

Her self-titled debut may have spawned four top-ten singles, but it was on Hearts in Armor that Trisha Yearwood properly announced herself as one of the finest country artists of her generation. Informed by the end of her first marriage, the album explores both the subtle and the dramatic ways that a relationship can dissolve, and it allows Yearwood to lay bare hard-earned truths that lesser vocalists might have left hidden
