Rich Man, Poor Man is a 1969 novel by Irwin Shaw. It is the last of the novels of Shaw's middle period before he began to concentrate, in his last works such as Evening In Byzantium, Nightwork, Bread Upon The Waters, and Acceptable Losses, on the inevitability of impending death. The title is taken from the nursery rhyme "Tinker, Tailor". The novel was adapted into a 1976 miniseries.

Cotton Mill Colic Lyrics. When you go to work well you work like the devil At the end of the week you're not on the level Payday comes, you ain't got a penny 'Cause when you pay your bills you got so many. I'm a-gonna starve and everybody will 'Cause you can't make a livin' in a cotton mill. Ashes to ashes and dust to dust Let the rich man live and the poor man bust We'll never make it, we never will As long as we work in a rounding mill. Cotton Mill Colic" Track Info.

There was no school fifty years ago. So I cannot read or write. The Post Office official will give you the money. One hundred pounds! I said again. I am going to give a party for you all, I told my friends. I was looking for a man from my village. But I could not find a villager. So then I walked to the shop of Rick. I paid you two pounds for them on Tuesday. Give me my photographs immediately or my money.
