Bob Andy (born Keith Anderson) is one of reggae's most influential singer/songwriters. Many of his songs, written both for other artists as well as himself, have been covered numerous times and are considered reggae standards. Some of his biggest hits written for other artists include Ken Boothe's "I Don't Want to See You Cry," and Delroy Wilson's "It's Impossible (Impossible Love)".

Bob Andy (born Keith Anderson) emerged as a solo star in 1966 with the smash hit I've Got to Go Back Home, a song which has become a much-loved anthem for Jamaicans  . Bob Andy (born Keith Anderson) emerged as a solo star in 1966 with the smash hit "I've Got to Go Back Home", a song which has become a much-loved anthem for Jamaicans. He had served his singing and songwriting apprenticeship with the legendary vocal group THE PARAGONS, which he founded with Tyrone (Don) Evans and Howard Barrett, later joined by John Holt. 1978 saw the release of Bob's album Lots of Love and I, which amongst many excellent tracks contains the classics "Ghetto Stays in the Mind" and "Feel the Feeling. In the same year he traveled to Cuba to perform at the 11th World Festival of Youth and Students.

Bob Andy’s career as a singer and songwriter has spanned over fifty years, from the early days of Jamaican music’s golden era right up until the present day. He emerged in the late sixties with a string of Jamaican hits, notably Going Home, Unchained, I’ve Got To Go Back Home, Feeling Soul and My Time. His highly distinctive voice and songwriting ability gained him superstar status, his reputation enhanced by his commendable contribution to the original Paragons line-up. The 1977 album ‘Lots Of Love And I’ was produced and arranged by Bob with the island’s only female label owner, Sonia Pottinger, serving as executive producer. Featured are contributions from the leading Jamaican musicians of the time, including Sly & Robbie and the island’s best brass players, led by Tommy McCook. Passion, emotion and intensity.
