Happenstance is Fozzy's cover of old school hard rock and metal songs. This is the best metal album in ages! Fozzy rocks with their instruments and the vocals make each song stand out even more than they would otherwise. The cover songs are done in Fozzy's own unique way and are as good, or better in some cases, as the originals. The whole album comes off upbeat, as if the band enjoy every second of playing, the same way as you'll feel from listening to it. The Mob Rules is excellent and Freewheel Burning is absolutely brilliant.
Nobody would expect it from a band called ‘Fozzy’, but the four originals ‘To Kill a Stranger’, ‘Happenstance’, ‘Crucify Yourself’ and ‘With the Fire’ are all beyond words. Seriously awesome metal tunes, and this isn’t a case of "awesome because it’s so cheesy" or anything like that. This is straight up, ass-kickin’ metal.
