True Stories is the seventh studio album by American rock band Talking Heads. It was released on September 15, 1986, by Sire Records, around the same time as lead singer David Byrne's film of the same name. The album does not contain the actors' performances from the film. Instead, this is a Talking Heads studio album featuring recordings of songs from the film.

Talking Heads were an American rock band formed in 1975 in New York City and active until 1991. The band comprised David Byrne (lead vocals, guitar), Chris Frantz (drums), Tina Weymouth (bass), and Jerry Harrison (keyboards, guitar).

Naked is the eighth and final studio album by American rock band Talking Heads, released on March 15, 1988 by Sire Records. The band dissolved shortly after the album's release, but did not announce their breakup until 1991.

Talking Heads fans have been waiting a long time to have the band's eight studio albums remastered and reissued, but they may find that the long-awaited revamping of the group's catalog is somewhat problematic.

Talking Heads - City of Dreams - early demo version. Talking Heads (official). TRUE STORIES- Criterion Collection blu-ray due out on November 20. Including CD with 23 songs, containing the film’s complete soundtrack, compiled here for the first time.

Talking Heads - The Collection (CD 2007). I heard a track on Freeview station 'Q'. I thought it was brilliant and I believed it to be The Talking Heads. I decided to re-visit my younger years and bought this CD. Although this is a very good CD & is recommended they were'nt the group who played the track from 'Q'. Luckily the track came round again, this time with details. The group in question is Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - New album just out titled 'Dig Lazarus Dig'. I've now got it & can strongly recommended.

Talking Heads' "other" live album, with its appropriately deadpan title "The Name of this Band is Talking Heads," has lived unfairly in the shadow of the highly acclaimed "Stop Making Sense. Released only two years earlier, it clearly preserves the band's almost shocking transformation from a stripped down "pop punk" quartet into a full ensemble utilizing aspects of African and South American styles. The band's true early quirkiness, which likely explains their niche appeal, rings throughout the performances. David Byrne's sometimes highly exaggerated vocals, ranging from humorous to terrifying, probably provide the largest contrast between this collection and the relatively more reserved "Stop Making Sense. And of course the album features two somewhat distinct versions of their early signature song "Psycho Killer.
