Turn-Down Day" is a song written by Jerry Keller and David Blume and performed by The Cyrkle. It reached on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian pop chart and also reached on the . Cashbox chart in 1966. The song was featured on their 1966 album, Red Rubber Ball. The song was produced by John Simon. According to Candy Leonard, author of Beatleness: How the Beatles and Their Fans Remade the World (Arcade, 2014), the song is an excellent example of the emerging hippie ethos of the 1960s.

Diver Down is the fifth studio album by American hard rock band Van Halen, released on April 14, 1982. It spent 65 weeks on the album chart in the United States and had, by 1998, sold four million copies in the United States. It is their shortest album to date. The album cover artwork displays the "diver down" flag used in many US jurisdictions (which indicates a SCUBA diver is currently submerged in the area).

the Cyrkle - Turn Down Day. It’s much too groovy a summer’s day To waste runnin’ round in the city But here on the sand I can dream away Or look at the girls in their pretty–. It’s a turn down day Nothin’ on my mind It’s a turn down day And I dig it. There’s nothin’ easier I can do That lyin’ around doin’ nothin’. It’s a turn down day Just a turn round day It’s a turn down day And I dig it. Soft summer breeze and the surf rolls in Through laughter of small children playing Someone’s radio has the news tuned in But nobody cares what he’s saying.
