Colin Tilney (Harpsichord, Clavichord). Born: October 31, 1933 - London, England. After graduation Colin Tilney performed several years as a piano accompanist and opera coach for Sadler's Wells and the New Opera Company in London. He decided to confine his performance and teaching activities to early keyboard instruments, including harpsichord, clavichord, chamber organ, and fortepiano. A good example of his work on disc is the 1996 album Scarlatti High and Low, which presented Domenico Scarlatti harpsichord sonatas that lay at the extremes of the instrument's range.
