The Rolling Stones is the debut album by the Rolling Stones, released by Decca Records in the UK on 16 April 1964. The album is included in Robert Dimery's 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.

Blue & Lonesome is a covers album by the Rolling Stones-their 23rd British and 25th American studio album-released on 2 December 2016. It is the band's first album to feature only cover songs, and their first studio release since 2005's A Bigger Bang, with its eleven-year gap being the longest between two albums from the band. Despite the short time length of just around 43 minutes, the album was released as a double LP.

From: 'The Rolling Stones' (1964). Willie Dixon's blues perennial was first recorded by Muddy Waters in 1954, and the Stones covered it on their debut album a decade later. It pretty much serves as an introduction to the band's approach to the blues: more guitar, more menace and more rock 'n' roll. Still, in their formative years the Stones were mostly faithful, and this frenzied cover of "I Just Want to Make Love to You" remains an early highlight. 4. "Ventilator Blues".

It’s official: The Rolling Stones will put out their first studio record in over a decade on December 2nd with the release of new album Blue & Lonesome. The 12 tracks, recorded in three days at London’s British Grove Studios, all cover songs by classic bluesmen, including Howlin’ Wolf ( Commit a Crime ), Little Walter ( I Gotta Go ) and Jimmy Reed ( Little Rain ). Ron Wood first discussed the group’s blues angle in an April interview with The Associated Press.

Andrew's Blues Lyrics: Yes now Andrew Oldham sittin' on a hill with Jack and Jill (Jack and Jill), Fucked all night and sucked all night and taste that pussy till it taste just right, Oh Andrew (ye. The Rolling Stones are a great fuckin' group What a lot of balls, Phil Spector is a lot of shit I though Phil Spector was a lot of shit And I've heard the group, now I know their a lot of shit.

Ronnie Wood painted the release's artwork himself. The Rolling Stones have curated a compilation of classic blues tracks that have inspired their career. Check out the trailer and full tracklist below. Teaming up with BMG and Universal, the legendary rock band have put together their favourite cuts to create ‘Confessin’ The Blues’.

The Rolling Stones haven't released a studio album since 2005's A Bigger Bang, although they wrote two new songs for the 2012 compilation record Grrrr! Media playback is unsupported on your device. The sessions have included new material and a series of blues covers, including songs by Little Walter and Howlin' Wolf. They sound so authentic it's frightening," said Wood.
