Clarence Williams III (born August 21, 1939) is an American actor. He played the character "Linc Hayes" in the "hippie" cop show The Mod Squad (1968–1973). Born in New York City, Williams is the son of a professional musician, Clarence "Clay" Williams J. and grandson of jazz and blues composer/pianist Clarence Williams and his singer-actress wife, Eva Taylor. Raised by his paternal grandmother, he became interested in acting after accidentally walking onto a stage at a theater below a Harlem YMCA.

Clarence Williams (October 8, 1893 – November 6, 1965) was an American jazz pianist, composer, promoter, vocalist, theatrical producer, and publisher. The Web's Largest Resource for. Music, Songs & Lyrics. A Member Of The STANDS4 Network. Our awesome collection of.

Most of the selections are quite enjoyable, but the programming, jumping back and forth over a seven-year period, is pretty random and lowers this sampler's value.

Williams nails the character, from his facial expressions and his walk to his talk, which, in this role, really solidified how truly remarkable he is at playing different an array of voices, even with a pipe in his mouth. Williams also shows off his musical talents: singing, dancing, and physically fighting along the way. -Emily Orley. 3. The World According to Garp (1982) - T. S. Garp.
