August '72 Peter Hammill decides to pull the plug on Van Der Graff Generator at the height of it's power opting for a solo career. slowly leading you into the darkness. Somehow the overall REALIZATION of this work is as relevant as ever. This is the point of demarcation for Peter Hammill between fronting Van Der Graaf Generator, and embarking upon what has become his voluminous solo career. As such, the listener will discover elements of both within the confines of this release.
