This combination of previously-released album cuts from a variety of British and American artists, in and of itself, isn't what makes this . There have always been (and always will be) plenty of mixed-genre compilations filling up the music store racks, but not many that can unite the generations quite like the Acoustic series. That seems to be the intention, at any rate.
The second in the Gradients compilation album series and curated again by London producer and label head Fracture, Vo. celebrates Fracture's forward-thinking ethos, the label's expansive stylistic roots and the sheer brilliance of catching a vibe. In our opinion this is some of the freshest most exciting music this year so hats off to all the vibe catchers and to Fracture for bottling some of their best.
