Andy And David Williams - What's Your Name download mp3 album
Andy Williams is a compilation album by American pop singer Andy Williams that was released early in 1958 by Cadence Records. This first album to compile the singer's material features his first six songs to make the Billboard Hot 100 along with their corresponding B-sides.
Born Free is the twentieth studio album by American pop singer Andy Williams and was released on April 10, 1967, by Columbia Records and includes half a dozen songs associated with movies or musicals. Two of these tracks, however, originated in the scores of the films indicated on the album jacket but had lyrics added later: the melody for "Strangers in the Night" was written for A Man Could Get Killed, and "Somewhere My Love" began as "Lara's Theme" from Doctor Zhivago.
They are one of my earliest memories of Tiger Beat. I thought they were cute, but I never had their pinup on my wall. I was WAY into Tony DeFranco at that time. There are rumors of a third album. They released Meet Andy and David Williams and One More Time around 1973. The single What’s Your Name reached on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1974. The twins got to appear on The Partridge Family during its final season in an episode entitled Two for the Show where they each had a crush on Laurie (Susan Dey). The episode ended with Andy & David singing Say It Again, a song which was recorded by The Monkees’ Davy Jones a few years earlier. The twins disappeared in the mid 70’s and appeared again in the late 80’s, all grown up and more mature musically.
Twin brothers Andrew Williams and David Williams from Henderson, Nevada, nephews of crooner Andy Williams. Born in February 22, 1959, the boys first came to light by appearing in an episode of The Partridge Family. In the fourth season episode titled ‘Two for the Show,’ they played (what else?) identical twins, who fall in love with Susan Dey's "Laurie Partridge. As potential teen idols, they made the Hot 100 in 1974, billed as "Andy and David Williams", with the entry "What's Your Name"; and featured in numerous teen magazines. In the early ‘80's, they began backing up artists such as Brian Setzer, the Plimsouls, Joe Ely, and the Cruzados and played in T-Bone Burnett's band during a European tour. Their talents as a ts and performers soon caught the attention of the Warner Bros A&R executives Tom Whalley and Michael Ostin.
It would take until 2002 for their "last gasp" to breathe new life when Varese Sarabande issued what was called their 1974 "lost" album, including the Hot 100 hit "What's Your Name", "Say It Again" and eleven other tracks consisting of originals and covers . Producer Michael Lloyd (who would go on to work with David and Shaun Cassidy as well as Leif Garrett) provided the summertime jug-band "Roll River" and the Eric Carmen-y "Let Me Love Yo.
