Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975. But this compilation drawn from those albums, comprising the group's nine Top 40 hits plus "Desperado," demonstrates that this evenhandedness did not extend to singles - as far as those go, the Eagles belong to Glenn Frey and Don Henley

Album · 1976 · 10 Songs. One of the most perfectly compiled collections ever, Their Greatest Hits 1971-75 brings together 10 sublime country-rock tunes that helped make Southern California seem like the most mythical landscape of the '70s. Don Henley's vocals, most notably on the haunting piano ballad "Desperado" and the soft-rock charmer "The Best of My Love", were a major part of their success, but Randy Meisner's soulful "Take It to the Limit" and Glenn Frey's hitting-the-road rocker "Already Gone" showcased the band's impressive range.

Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 is the Eagles first compilation album, made up of songs from their first four albums. The album was the very first Platinum Certified album in the United States (It is currently 29x Platinum). It was also the greatest selling album of the 20th Century untill being passed by Michael Jackson’s Thriller in 2009 after his death. To those complaining about Hotel California being missing: It ain't here because this album came out before Hotel California was released. I always laugh at a story my brother tells: At an Eagles concert in LA in late '75, the audience, expecting to hear all the awesome songs on THIS album, booed heavily when the Eagles started with "something new we've been working on". The new song was Hotel California. The audience was mystified and confused - it wasn't what they came to hear. Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975. The Very Best of Eagles.

Greatest Hits 1971-1975 houses a scant ten singles, but not only does it illustrate the magic of the collaboration between Glen Frey and Don Henley, it shows the breadth of The Eagles impact on the many who would follow their lead. Renews automatically. Sample this album Artist (Sample).
