Kwesta - DaKAR II Album South African Music Kwesta's third studio album titled "DaKAR II" has proven to be to musical gem. In celebration of this project of musical art going platinum, we bring yo. The DaKAR II album wasn’t just hurriedly cooked; Kwesta had started work on this project as far back as 2013. The project began on the heels of the first DaKAR I album which proved to be a success. That project was preceded by Kwesta’s debut album titled Special Rekwest. However, DaKAR II album is of a different mould. In a world where artists are comfortable enough with just a few songs on an album, Kwesta made this a whopping 2 discs of quality music. This is why the songs off this project has gone on to colonize charts and set Kwesta on the path of greatness

The album burrows deeper into the idea of double consciousness by splitting the album into halves, with Issa Gold rapping "So a nigga ain't have no direction/Locked up in my own mental prison/Suicide on my mind, no one listen/Made a nigga remain so distant" on "Chasing Faith. There's otherworldly funk ("Star Signs") contrasted with haunted church chants ("Generation Z") on an album that seeks to discover one's place in the mortal world. The Texas newcomer drew a lot of criticism for making an album that is about nothing more than making a huge racket. Kanye West mulled over racial inequality and domestic bliss on his loud Yeezus; but all that animates Scott is popping pills, sipping syrup and getting racks. He raps with the same funk-over-all attitude of Young Thug or Bobby Shmurda: "The shit was gettin' too predictable/The new shit is on steroids, I would never pass a physical.

4. Devin The Dude "Lacville '79" (2002). Producer: Devin The Dude Album: Just Tryin' Ta Live Label: Rap-A-Lot. Let's face it, not everyone can drive Maybachs and Lambos. Devin raps about frequent visits to different mechanics and all the woes that come with relying on an old beater to get from point A to point B. If there's a silver lining, it's that at least Devin doesn't have to worry about someone stealing his ride. That's a headache safely in his possession.
