Features Song Lyrics for Jimmy Witherspoon's No Rollin' Blues album. 1. Money's Getting Cheaper Lyrics. Jimmy Witherspoon Lyrics provided by SongLyrics. Lyricapsule: The Surfaris Drop ‘Wipe Out’; June 22, 1963. RIFF’d: Nas’ ‘Nasir’. Lyricapsule: The Byrds Drop ‘Mr. Tambourine Man’; June 21, 1965.

Artist: Jimmy Witherspoon. Album: With the Junior Mance Trio, 1997. This was Jimmy's third album for Prestige, recorded late in 1963. He's in excellent form here, and this is a solid blues recording. More than half of the tunes are slow, heart-breaking killers, and Spoon dishes them up perfectly. He sings often about thwarted love here, and he does so with a gruffness and biting anger/regret that goes right to the quick.
