Outer Gods' members the Wrathe and the Flail have been making avant-garde, oftentimes dissonant dron. Less is more, is less, is more, is less.

released April 28, 2017. written and recorded by Outer Gods throughout the years 2015-2017 at Bedsitter Studios in Avondale Estates, GA. mastered by PMM. Stickfigure064. many thanks to Stickfigure Recordings, Werner Herzog, Masaki Kobayashi, Greydon Clark, Kenneth Anger, and Ms Keiko Kishi.

The Outer Gods are various cosmically significant entities that are featured in the Cthulhu Mythos. They are to be distinguished from the Great Old Ones, although the distinction isn't universally acknowledged. Generally speaking, they are located beyond the confines of Earth and the solar system, exerting their influence from deep space. However, there are some Outer Gods who have taken up residence on Earth.

Among the Outer Gods present at Azathoth's court are the entities called "Ultimate Gods" in The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath (called "Lesser Outer Gods" in the Call of Cthulhu RPG), and possibly Shub-Niggurath, the "Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young". Yog-Sothoth, the "All-in-One and One-in-All", co-rules with Azathoth and exists as the incarnation of time in the cosmos, yet is somehow locked outside the mundane universe. Nyarlathotep, the "Crawling Chaos", is the avatar of the Outer Gods, existing as the incarnation of space.

New album out now. The Mute Gods, featuring Nick Beggs (Steven Wilson, Steve Hackett), Roger King (Steve Hackett) & Marco Minnemann (The Aristocrats, The Sea Within), have released their third studio album ‘Atheists and Believers’. Arriving just over 2 years after its predecessor ‘Tardigrades Will Inherit The Earth’, Beggs once again turns his attention to the state of the world as we know it now, focussing on universal topics such as politics, humanity & love over the course of 10 tracks that run from turbulent rock compositions to more sentimental pieces of music. For ‘Atheists and Believers’, Beggs has enlisted some very special guests, including Alex Lifeson, Rush’s legendary guitarist; Craig Blundell, renowned drummer currently playing with Steven Wilson’s band; t Rob Townsend with whom Beggs worked in Steve Hackett’s band and his vocalist daughter, Lula Beggs.
