The lyrics of "Rebel Yell" are classic rock romance stuff as they depict a tough guy narrator pledging eternal devotion to the "little dancer" who stole his heart. The inspiration for his love is revealed when the chorus rolls around: "In the midnight hour she cried 'more, more, more'/With a rebel yell she cried 'more, more, more'. The music puts an accent on energy, building up from subtle but fast-paced verses to a full-throttle, wailing chorus that lives up to the promise of the title
