Talked to Jace Hall today for our premier Pac-Man Fever (Eat 'Em Up)/2015 podcast! Jace is an artist, TV producer, game developer and writer. He loves anything to do with video games. He produced a cool video on our original song a couple of years back featuring him rapping so when we decided to record the new version, Pac-Man Fever (Eat ‘Em Up)/2015 we definitely wanted him involved. One thing we talked about in the podcast is a live broadcast he is doing on July 26th with 4 of the top Pac Man players in the world. They claim to be a secret society of Pac-Man players who have discovered how to get past Level 256 which is known as the kill screen for Pac Man. Jace says this is an historic event and will allow players to go marathon and play until they drop. It will be broadcast live on twingalaxieslive. com or you can go to tglive. The most memorable was the novelty single Pac-Man Fever by Akron, Ohio duo Jerry Buckner and Gary Garcia, which sold an unbelievable . million copies in 1982, and more than two million to date. 33 years later, to coincide with the July 24 release of the film Pixels, Buckner has created a new, updated version of the classic tune featuring a guest spot by film/game producer and personality Jace Hall. Most importantly, though, it also includes the original vocal track by Garcia, who passed away in 2011. Watch the new lyric video for the track below

Their first recording was made in 1972, when they performed a novelty song called "Gotta Hear the Beat", which they recorded as Animal Jack. Later, in 1980, they wrote a novelty Christmas song titled "Merry Christmas in the NFL", imagining sports journalist Howard Cosell as Santa Claus. The artist was local radio personality Willis the Guard and fictional group Vigorish
12 people found this helpful. Of course I bought this album, and was thoroughly entranced. Assuming you fit this demographic, this product might be a great blast from the past, or could prove impossibly corny. Perhaps the very fact that I remember Pac Man Fever all these years later is its best testimonial. Pac-Man Fever (Eat 'em Up) 2015 (feat. Buckner & Garcia. Notes from website (http://www.pacmanfevereatemup.com):
We’re very excited about the release of Pac-Man Fever (Eat ‘Em Up) a new recording of our original song built around Gary Garcia’s original vocal track
Pac-Man Fever has become a part of pop culture, and we are grateful to all our fans who continue to support us. The song still makes new fans and followers, with recent mentions on “The Tonight Show,” “The Today Show” and the wrap-up segment on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” featuring Jimmy and rap artist Drake.
Pac-Man Fever is either mentioned or played somewhere in the world every day and we hope to continue that tradition with “Pac-Man Fever (Eat ‘Em Up).
