Regardless, Union of Worlds pushes all the right buttons (literally) with an overdose of warm analog synth patches and a flair for cinematic atmospheres. Paterra and Zombi bandmate Steve Moore seem to have gotten their inspiration as much from early '80s sci-fi movies and old PBS science shows as much as they did from celebrated '70s krautronica pioneers like Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze (and also non-Teutonic figures like Vangelis and Michael Garrison). But somehow, in the six short- to medium-length pieces on this cassette, Paterra seems to have distilled the entire Majeure aesthetic into one perfect album. Whether waxing pensive and spacey, as in "Overmind", or going full-frontal Miami Vice with the machine-gun drum and synth assault of "Physis," Majeure manages to conjure retro moods while still offering something new.

Majeure ‎– Union Of Worlds. Label: Constellation Tatsu ‎– PURR 0063. Format: Cassette, Album. Releasing an album this good on cassette and download only seems like some kind of cruel joke more than a clever marketing gimmick aimed at retro-hipsters, especially for an artist who has released several other albums in deluxe vinyl packages. The perfectly matched cover art and the music on Union of Worlds deserve the wider audience that vinyl and/or CD would afford. Regardless, Union of Worlds pushes all the right buttons (literally) with an overdose of warm analog synth patches and a flair for cinematic atmospheres.

As Majeure, Paterra has performed live internationally. June 2014, Paterra released the album Termination Shock on VCO Recordings and Music Fear Satan. In October 2015 the Union of Worlds album appeared on Constellation Tatsu. Paterra featured on the second Brain Machine album Peaks, released in May 2016 He also forms the duo Contact with the English film-maker and musician Paul Lawler. After VCO Recordings (part-owned by Paterra) has released the Lawler album Opus, the two decided to collaborate under the name Contact

This album has an average beat per minute of 125 BPM (slowest/fastest tempos: 108/150 BPM). Tracklist Union of Worlds. 124 BPM. Recent albums by Majeure.

Worlds is the debut studio album by the American electronic music producer Porter Robinson, released on August 12, 2014 by Astralwerks in the United States and by Virgin EMI Records internationally. The album exhibits a shift in Robinson's music style from the heavy, bass-fueled complextro of his previous work to a more alternative form of electronic music.

Force Majeure wanted to call the album with longer name especially to hear how legendary Finnish radio host Klaus Flaming would pronounce it with his perfect pronounciation. Force Majeure's roots go back to 2001 when the two guitarists Jussi and Eemeli met each other. After several self financed demos and hard, sweaty groundwork for extending the fan base, Force Majeure's debut album Frozen Chambers was released 2008 in Finland, Russia, Sweden and GAS. The debut was received positively among listeners and press alike and opened new doors for Force Majeure

But when former Warlock vocalist Doro Pesch launched her solo career with 1989's Force Majeure, fantasy metal was not a high priority for the German singer. This album found the rough-voiced Doro taking more of a pop-metal approach; references to the supernatural aren't prevalent, and Force Majeure is closer to Crimes of Passion-era Pat Benatar than Warlock (although Warlock's Tommy Henriksen is employed on bass and co-wrote five of the tunes).

Having been a big collector of anything I can find on the wonderful Constellation Tatsu label the artwork alone of this release caught my attention. The cover art reminded me of those sci-fi paperback novels from the 1960's and 1970's that would flood my local 2nd hand book shops growing up that would take me to other worlds. Right from the first listen I was reminded of the mid 70's Virgin Years era Tangerine Dream, Klause Schulze, Jean Michel-Jarre, and Ashra. This is a special release and should be put out on vinyl or CD someday but in the meantime cassette or digital download is the only way to go which is fine with me as I still have several tape players lying around. This cassette opened up many other doors for me as I started buying other cassettes, vinyl LPs, and CDs by Majeure and lead me to discover Zombi (2) whom he is 1/2 half of (the other member is Steve Moore). I've even picked up a few releases by Steve Moore and I love it all so as you can see this one cassette was a monster of a release for me. Pick up a copy if you are able locate one as this cassette is long out of print with only small amount pressed. You can thank for me later. I like all the tracks equally on this release. Normally on my reviews I will break down favorite tracks but this is a stunner from start to finish.

Those who share either obsession will certainly find much to enjoy here. Majeure's entire catalog is a treasure trove of spacey hymns for vintage synth worship, usually in longer format pieces than what's found here. In this particular style of electronic music it's all too easy for lesser artists to let period-correct synths and sequencers do all the talking while bringing nothing original or substantive to the proceedings. With Union of Worlds, Paterra manages to give Majeure a unique voice that advances the style while remaining immediately accessible.
